BRIEF ABOUT CHIKKODI TMC

• The Town Municipal Council Chikkodi was constituted in 1973.
• The town’s population as per 2001 census is 32,820.
• The town has an area of 18.29 sq. kms and is situated amidst hills.
• The town temperature varies from a maximum of 42˚C to a minimum of 15˚C, maximum average rainfall annually is 826.64mm.
• The town Major connectivity by road from the district head quarters Belgaum is 72 kms.
• Local magistrate court has been solving the public grievances for a period of 150 years.
• In the past it has been visited by legendary personalities like “Mahatma Gandhi” and “Dr. B. R. Ambedkar”.
• In Chikkodi town more than 74 government offices are presently functioning.
• The town has 25 Primary Schools, 3 High Schools, 3 Pre-University Colleges, 2 Degree Colleges, 1 Engineering College, 1 Polytechnic College, 1 B P Ed College, 2 I.T.I. Colleges, 2 J. O. C. Colleges and 1 Law College.
• The TMC has 23 wards and equal number of councilors and 5 number of Nominee Councilors.
The town has a huge and beautiful mini vidhan soudha at basav circle.
The Krishna River flows to the northern side of the town; the river water forms a useful resource to grow a good harvest to the farmers.
The town is situated at the Karnataka border

ಚಿಕ್ಕೋಡಿ ನಗರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ

• ಪುರಸಭೆ ಚಿಕ್ಕೋಡಿಯು 1973 ರಲ್ಲಿ ರಚನೆಯಾಯಿತು
• ಸನ್ 2001ರ ಜನಗಣತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯು 32820 ಇದೆ.
• ಪಟ್ಟಣವು 18.29 ಚ.ಕಿಮೀ. ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಇದೆ
• ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸರಾಸರಿ ತಾಪಮಾನವು ಗರಿಷ್ಠ 42˚ ಸೆಲ್ಷಿಯಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 15˚ ಸೆಲ್ಷಿಯಸ್ ಇದ್ದು, ವಾಷೀಕವಾಗಿ ಮಳೆಯು ಸರಾಸರಿ 826.64 ಮಿ.ಮೀ. ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
• ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮ್ಯಾಜಿಸ್ಟ್ರೇಟ್ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ 150 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಕುಂದುಕೊರಗೆಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
• ಹಿಂದೆ  ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ "ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧಿಜಿ" ಹಾಗು ಡಾ ಬಿ. ಆರ್. ಅಂಬೆಡ್ಕರ ರಂತಹ ಪೌರಾಣಿಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು.
• ಚಿಕ್ಕೋಡಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 74 ರ ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ.
• ಪಟ್ಟಣವು 25 ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಗಳು, 3 ಹೈಸ್ಕೂಲಗಳು, 3 ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು, 1 ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು, 1 ಪಾಲಿಟೆಕ್ನಿಕ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್, 1 ಬಿಪಿಎಡ ಕಾಲೇಜ್, 2 ಐಟಿಐ ಕಾಲೇಜ್, 2 ಜೆಒಸಿ ಮತ್ತು 1 ಲಾ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
• ಪುರಸಭೆಯು 23 ವಾರ್ಡ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ನಾಮ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿತ 5 ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
• ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಬಸವ ಸರ್ಕಲ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಒಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸುಂದರ ಮಿನಿ ವಿಧಾನ ಸೌಧ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.
• ಕೃಷ್ನಾ ನದಿಯು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಉತ್ತರ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ; ನದಿಯಿಂದ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಬೆಳೆ ಬೆಳೆಯಲು ಒಂದು ಉಪಯುಕ್ತ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲವಾಗಿದೆ.
• ಚಿಕ್ಕೋಡಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಗಡಿಭಾಗ ಪ್ರದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ.
